Angel was a very special dog to me ,just like the other dogs I have owned in my life.
He was loving and loyal.
My wife had always wanted a yorkshire terrier, so we decided to bring two from colombia, south america since they were more affordable down there.
The downside of this practice is that there is no 100% warranty on the puppies health. We learned the hard way.
Both babies arrived to the States and whithin days they were dead to a virus they already had.
We were crushed, specially my wife.
After a short time , I got Angel for her; he was a healthy 5 weeks old yorkie from a nj breeder.
We fell head over heels. For the next ten months we were showered everyday with love and tenderness, kindness and unconditional affection.
He was our everyday cure for the sore eyes, for the stress; a smoothing, beutiful, peaceful, blessed presence in our home.
But one cold morning of October of 2009, he drowned in my backyard pool.
He was only one year old. I won’t go on the details because is too painful since I feel I did not do everything i was supposed to do to prevent the only tragedy in my life so far.
Yes, the only tragedy; yes, I have lost close relatives ,but I have this thing about humans: we all have to go no matter what; but under no circumstances was I prepared for this.
The memory and the pain will always be with me.
Today, I have two adorable yorkies; they are 8 months old: angelito and rockito along with my beloved 11 year old mutt Francisco.
PLEASE ,TAKE CARE OF YOUR BESTEST FRIENDS, AND DON’T THINK OF THEM AS PETS BUT AS FAMILY:
WHERE YOU GO ,THEY GO
THERE ARE NO PLACES WHERE DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED
THERE IS NO REASON TO BE APART
