Barney was seven years old when we took him on from the RSPCA, and he had a few issues health wise but we gave him a good loving home and he repaid us by being loving ,faithful, and lots of fun to have around the house.
Last week our world came tumbling down because he was very poorly and we had to have him put to sleep.
Our house is now empty and quiet with no dishes on the floor and no half chewed biscuits lying around.
Barneys basket is now down in the garage and we just sit in the armchair looking at an empty space near the fireplace.
Barney had bow legs and arthritis but he never allowed that to keep him from being happy and enjoying walks with us.
I hope we can be lucky and do the same again for another dog , but we are in our early seventies.

My condolences
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. May Barney rest in peace. I hope you and your family will take comfort in knowing that Barney left knowing he was loved.
