Ruby at 3 months and 5 months
We got Ruby when she was 8 weeks old. I got her from a friend at work.
The day before my friend was going to get the mother (a Yorkie) spayed, her Chihuahua (daddy) got a little frisky.
Ruby was a doll then and still is at 5 months old. She’s very loveable and playful. She doesn’t really bark much and just loves everyone. She naps with us all the time. She loves being cuddled and warm when she naps.
I really don’t let her sleep with me at night much. I’m afraid I may accidentally push her off my bed and it’s quite a high fall. She’s is more than happy in her crate (which is right near my bed).
Ruby was a little hard to potty train. She still has accidents some times but never has wet or messed her sleeping quarters.
We live in NJ so it’s cold right now and I don’t always take her out because she gets cold very easily. She doesn’t really like the clothes much but she will tolerate it.
We have two cats as well and she plays with one of them but the other cat doesn’t want anything to do with her. He’s such a grump. She loves playing with the other cat though. They run after each other tumbling and hiding and rolling on the floor. It’s quite a show!
Ruby is about 4.5 pounds now at 5 months old. I don’t think she will grow too much more but she’s doubled in size since we got her.
She’s really starting to grow more little hairs around her face like a Yorkie. Her Dad was a short-haired Chihuahua.
She eats pretty well for a little thing. I give her wet and dry food. She loves the Blue brand dog food
We’ve come to love Ruby so much I can’t imagine life without her now. Thanks for letting me tell you about her!
