When you love something, you become open to grief

I had a very very special dog, I had him for thirteen years, which is a long life in dog years.

He died on the 19th of Feb and it broke my heart and left a hole in me that may never be filled.

I realize only animal lovers will be able to relate to this, I have heard some people say its only a dog. What they miss, is they will never know. Just they miss alot.

This guy was born on Christmas day and he made every day like Christmas to me and my family.

He had a heart so big, he just lived to love, So now I guess like all things we have to pay our dues, and the dues I must pay is the grief I feel now with his loss.

But I will say right now I do not regret for one second paying the price for this dogs love and loyalty.

I will never forget you Mr. Kincaid !

Your dad,
best friend,
and if there is something after this life, I know we will meet up again.

    Incredible Love

I share your thoughts and pain………… My heart aches for my little girl. I lost her to Kidney Disease and she fought so hard. I know she lived for me…… her heart, spirit and love for my family was Incredible. Part of me has died with her. Yes, I sure hope there is something after this life……… I miss her so and can’t wait to love her again. My Precious Baby!
I am so sorry for your loss, truly!

I know what you have suffered

We had to put our 13 year old yorkie, named Revelation, to rest on 12/23/2010. As a man,I have never cried so hard in my life. He was my best friend and to quote the lyrics from the old Beetles song, “how do you mend a broken heart”. I will never forget “Revel the Devil”, my pet name for him. I must admit, he was too much a part of my life. God, I miss him laying on my lap (all 4 pounds of him) and his crying when I came home and he greeted me at the door. There has got to be a special place somewhere for such a special animal.

    I understand your loss

I lost my Abby, 14 years old, the day after Mother’s day this year, she suddenly got sick, throwing up, dirrerea, lathrogic, pawing at her sides, and yelping. I will never understand why she had to suffer in pain like she did. We took her in the next morning after Mother’s day to put her to sleep. I dearly miss and cry for her every day. No one understands the loss you feel unless you have expierenced it for yourself, so my heart goes out to you and your loss because I feel the pain you are feeling.
