Chronic Dry in Eye in a 1 year old Yorkie-HELP!

22 March, 2017 By YorkieAdmin Leave a Comment

(New York, NY)

Hi, my 1 year old yorkie has a problem with her right eye that developed about 2 months ago.

The Vet said she has Dry Eye, an autoimmune disease, that attacks the tear ducts 🙁

I took her to an eye specialist who confirmed the diagnosis and said surgey involving transfer of a salivary duct to the eye will resolve the fluid production problem.

Has anyone dealt with this issue and is surgery the only option???

thanks so much!!!

Kari
